Installation and equipment supply for Bluu, London
T&J Installations was commissioned by Marston's plc to design, manufacture and install a unique cask beer dispense board in stainless steel to be on show to the general public via a glassed internal cellar.
Our approach
Site survey
As this was a unique project, we visited the proposed site before proceeding with the design of the dispense board. We met on-site with key personnel to be briefed on the objectives of the assignment. The brief required us to provide beer dispense for cask beers based on the design of the cellar.
Computer aided design
We proceeded to computer aided design, along with technical drawing after the on-site visit. Information was passed to the brand owner via IT and detailed drawings. The designs were then submitted to Marston's for approval and were given the go ahead.
Materials
We approached suppliers, and arranged a meeting to outsource the supply of stainless steel. Tenders were submitted for the supply of the steel and a supplier was selected. The beer dispense equipment was supplied by the brand owners.
Technical build
The main dispense board was commissioned once the design was approved by operations management. Once this was finalised we appointed our engineers for the build.
Installation
The installation of the keg beer dispense equipment was completed by the first fix engineers who attended site. This then allowed for the installation of the stainless steel cask dispense board by the second fix engineers. After all the beer dispense and pipe work was completed, the beer dispense system was installed.
Commissioning
The dispense equipment was commissioned and all cask beers were installed by T&J engineers to the brand owner’s specification.
