T&J installs drinks dispense at The Queens Road Tap micropub
T&J has provided installation services for a second micropub for Tollgate Brewery, on the Queens Road, Leicester.
The Queens Road Tap is the fourth micropub owned by Tollgate Brewery in the East Midlands – a chain of pubs that has received much praise, both from thirsty locals and prominent organisations, such as CAMRA.
The Queens Road Tap offers a traditional, welcoming and comfortable environment with no TV or music – in a back-to-basics approach, which is designed to encourage conversation.
There are four real ales available – a mixture of those produced by Tollgate and other guest ales – plus four guest craft kegs, two ciders and ten wines, as well as prosecco and gin.
T&J’s work included the installation of six brass through-counter handpulls and four single brushed nickel coloured fonts for beer dispense across keg and cask.
Last year, T&J installed beer dispense equipment in Tollgate Brewery’s first micropub in its local market town of Ashby-de-la-Zouch. The Tap at No. 76 in Ashby is a Grade II listed property, meaning that the impact of the installation to the building had to be negligible – T&J’s experience of installing in a wide range of properties made this a simple task.
