Tank beer installed at The Trading House in London

T&J has brought tank beer to The Trading House in London, a spectacular bar which evokes the spirit of the East India Trading Company as well as London’s nautical heritage, located on the site of the former Bank of New Zealand on Gresham Street near St Paul’s Cathedral.

The bar is the latest in a series of Budweiser Budvar Tankové Pivo installations for New World Trading Company. The Trading House features a central bar, 96-cover restaurant, and a mezzanine area for drinks and events. The interior retains much of the Grade II listed building’s architectural detail and period fixtures and fittings, including dark woods, high ceilings and a spiral staircase.

The Trading House, which is open for business on weekdays only – with weekends available for private hire – is proclaimed by NWTC to be: “A concept like no other, offering a soon-to-be world-famous selection of cocktails, craft beers and ales, Champagne and wine. Food inspired by the deli, rotisserie and BBQ. With live music every night, sublime social times are guaranteed!”

T&J installed three on-show tanks, creating a focal point. Suspended in the air above the end of the bar, the installation holds a combined 1,500 litres. This volume of beer – which is maintained in brewery-fresh condition for up to 21 days – allows the venue to minimise the hassle of mid-service changeovers and rate of restocking.

Paul Jones, tank beer expert and Operations Director of T&J said: “Whilst we are now installing tank beer for Budweiser Budvar across the country, it’s great to see its presence continue to grow in the capital city, where we made our first Tankové Pivo installation.”

Kieran Hartley, Beer Guru at New World Trading Company, said: “Given our significant investment and commitment to Budweiser Budvar Tankové Pivo over the last year or so, there was no question that it had to be introduced at – what is one of our flagship venues – The Trading House.

“T&J continues to deliver an excellent service, both for the installation and support of the tanks - keeping the beer flowing.”

T&J can also provide Budweiser Budvar tank beer as a mobile bar – a set-up that made its debut, again in London, at the Taste of London Festival in 2016.
