T&J debrief on the Restaurant Association Gala Dinner 2019

Nordaq restaurant water at Restaurant Association Gala Dinner

T&J client, Nordaq premium filtered water took centre stage at the Restaurant Association Gala Dinner held recently at The Savoy Hotel, London.

T&J Installations attended this year’s Restaurant Association Gala Dinner along with its client, Nordaq. The event saw entertainment from West End performers, charity auctions with highly desirable prizes and an extraordinary menu of food and wine.

Throughout the night, Nordaq – cited by many of the world’s most celebrated chefs as the ‘purest tasting water’ – was in generous supply – with technical support provided by T&J.

Plenty of familiar faces

As expected from a Restaurant Association event, the night saw many stars of the restaurant and hospitality industry come out to play. Claude Bosi, Head Chef at Bibendum, London – which proudly serves Nordaq filtered water to its customers – was one of many notable guests.

A great menu enhanced by Nordaq

The beautiful selection of food and wine at the Gala Dinner could be fully appreciated thanks to Nordaq supported by T&J. Nordaq complements food and drink in a unique way as flavours are enhanced by its palate-cleansing qualities.

Ian Jones, Managing Director of T&J Installations, said: “It was an amazing night of fundraising and celebration. With a food and drink menu as spectacular as was served, we could showcase the quality of Nordaq water – we felt it really shone.”

Putting a ‘spring’ in a charity’s step

The event raised an amazing £48,000 for The Springboard Charity which helps young people interested in hospitality, leisure and tourism to achieve their potential. Much of its work is focused on supporting underprivileged and disadvantaged people.

Through this, and by helping unemployed people of all ages into sustainable employment, it has a positive impact on reducing poverty.

Celebrating the Roux family

The Dinner was attended by three generations of the famous Roux family. Albert Roux OBE, Michel Roux Jr and Emily Roux were presented with The Restaurant Association Award for Services to Hospitality.

“It (the event) has also raised awareness and money for the incredible work undertaken by Springboard, they do such a great job in helping young people find worthwhile careers in hospitality.”
