Nordaq & T&J refresh House of Tides approach to water

Customers at House of Tides, Newcastle, can expect an enhanced ‘taste sensation’ following the installation of the restaurant’s Nordaq premium filtered water by T&J.

House of Tides has signed a 3-year contract with Nordaq allowing it to produce exquisite still and sparkling water on-site.

Familiar culinary TV personality and critically acclaimed Head Chef at House of Tides, Kenny Atkinson, became interested in Nordaq after trying it at Bibendum, London, last year.

Speaking about Nordaq, he said: “When I tried the water, and I experienced what it did to the taste of the food I was eating and the wine I was drinking, I knew I needed it at House of Tides.”

A culinary jewel of the North East

Kenny’s restaurant offers a casual, informal fine dining experience. Its multi-course tasting menu showcases modern British cooking with an emphasis on natural, seasonal and sustainable food.

Regarded as one of the best in the North East, it is Newcastle’s only restaurant to receive a Michelin Star and four AA Rosettes, and has won many other celebrated industry awards since it opened in February 2014 (pictured below).

Nordaq continues to roll out across the UK

Cited by top chefs and sommeliers as the ‘purest tasting water’, Nordaq enhances the flavour of food and wine in a way that no other water comes close, due to its palate-cleansing qualities.

Nordaq can be found in many of the UK’s best restaurants, including Bibendum, La Petite Maison and Heston Blumenthal restaurants – The Fat Duck, Hind’s Head and Dinner by Heston at The Mandarin Oriental Hotel.

Peter Smeaton, of Nordaq UK, said: “This new contract proves the power of the Nordaq Experience. House of Tides was sold, first and foremost, on the quality of the water, which is amazing. You might say it was ‘love at first taste’.”

Unparalleled filtered water

Ian Jones, Managing Director of T&J Installations said: “We’re delighted to have brought Nordaq to the North East by installing the water filtering system at House of Tides. It’s great to see Nordaq filtered water presence in the UK spreading across the country.”

Nordaq is now offering the opportunity to sample its water in a tailored ‘Nordaq Experience’. The Experience allows you to try the water alongside your food and wine offering, providing invaluable insight into the potential that Nordaq could hold for your business.
