Installing a drinks dispense system is now a recognised NVQ qualification
T&J Installations has recently completed an 18-month project in which every employee has undergone personal development training culminating in a Level 2 or Level 3 National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) relevant to their role within this leading company within the beer dispensing, refrigeration and technical services industry.
Over 50 technicians have now successfully completed a City & Guilds Level 2 or Level 3 NVQ in Drink Dispense Systems under the guidance of Charnwood Training Group, the UK's leading specialist provider of work-based training and development for the licensed trades.
The technical services team completed a range of modules including:
- Providing guidance on drinks dispense products and systems
- Planning and agreeing a drinks dispense system with the customer
- Maintaining effective working relationships with customers and colleagues
- Managing their own work
- Maintaining the health, hygiene, safety and security of the working environment
- Installing, maintaining and repairing drinks dispense systems
In addition, on the administration, customer services and management side of the business, all employees have successfully completed NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Business Administration or Team Leading. This was achieved in conjunction with Bournville College who delivered the training package and mentoring all on site at T&J’s premises. This enabled the courses to be extremely practical and pertinent to an employee’s day-to-day activities and real-life working environment – and, of course, minimised down time within the business.
