T&J installs beer dispense and wine dispense systems for Vagabond Wines
T&J's latest installation for Vagabond Wines took place at its Battersea Power Station branch, which Vagabond says is the ‘first customer-oriented urban winery in London’.
T&J provides installation and maintenance services for both beer dispense and wine dispense at branches of Vagabond Wines. Vagabond began as a riposte to the decline of independent wine bars in the capital, that cater for the middle of the market.
Vagabond now has six London locations – Fulham, Charlotte Street, Spitalfields, Northcote Road, Victoria and, most recently, Battersea Power Station.
In Vagabond’s own words, at the time of its launch: “Independent wine retail was crashing; multiple merchant chains had closed and wine drinkers were largely caught between bland, mass-produced wines with dishonest discounts at the supermarkets, or ultra-specialist wine stores that exuded off-putting superiority.”
T&J advised and provided installation services for the beer tap systems – which included connecting the keg fridges, chillers and taps – and the By The Glass wine dispense system.
Vagabond has now become a stout supporter of the By The Glass system, with installations of the wine preservation system at several of its locations. So, when it came to opening their latest branch, they were keen to once again include one in the fit out.
Wine dispense installation is just one of the specialist drinks dispense products that T&J installs. Vagabond regularly holds wine events, such as tastings, and the wine dispense system enhances the experience of any wine event – ensuring that, even at tasting sample volumes, wine is being served at optimum conditions, allowing the consumer to sample wines at their very best.
