FastPour beer dispense for Motorpoint Arena Nottingham

Nottingham’s Motorpoint Arena has recently undergone a scheme of refurbishment, which saw a revamp of its food and drink outlets.  The 10,000-capacity arena now features two new food and drink areas, with bars installed by T&J Installations, using their high volume beer dispense solutions and expertise.

As sole UK distributors for the Berg FastPour beer dispense system, T&J has enabled the venue to cope far better with high volume sales of beer.

FastPour is a hi-tech method of beer dispense that, importantly, increases the efficiency of the serving process - reducing dispense-to-‘money in the till’ time from around 18-24 seconds, down to just 11 seconds.  As well as this, FastPour has been developed to provide improved temperature accuracy, excellent reduction of fob and superior hygiene – to standard beer dispense methods, making the latter now appear antiquated.  Each of the new bars at Motorpoint Arena is fitted with six FastPour taps, each supplying Purity IPA, Becks, Stella and Budweiser.

The FastPour system is ideal for large venues, particularly where music and sporting events are concerned, as bars receive a high number of customers that need to be served in a short period of time.  The system is optimised for dealing with volume dispense; on multi-dispense fonts, staff can pour several pints at once resulting in even faster service.

Jane Rhoden, Catering General Manager for the Motorpoint Arena, said: ”We’ve seen excellent results with the FastPour system at our new bars.  It’s been a perfect investment for the arena in delivering great products and service to the audiences that come through our doors.

“Service before, and more importantly during breaks in shows, are high pressure situations – we deal with massive volumes of beer at these times - and making the service quick, simple and efficient for our visiting customers is our top priority.”

“The quicker that staff are able to serve, the quicker we get through queues, the less time people are waiting and the less likely they are to become impatient and decide to leave the queue empty handed and disappointed with our service.”

The FastPour system is not just about the ‘tap’.  One of its key features is its minimum fob technology, and this requires the experience and expertise of the installation provider in ensuring that the gas mixture, gas pressure and cooling systems are calibrated to the exact situation of the individual installation.  T&J’s beer dispense and cellar services expertise is the ideal match for the system, ensuring that FastPour performs at its maximum potential.  T&J understands the entire process from installation to the pour, and they will train a client’s staff on how to operate the system effectively, in order to achieve consistent serving quality.

T&J Managing Director, Ian Jones said: “T&J is committed to providing clients with the best tools for the job, and beer dispense systems such as this are the prime example of that.  We have worked hard to find the best, up-to-date solutions that the world has to offer to meet the modern day requirements of licensed premises.”

“We would urge music and sports venues, as well as larger bars, who are considering how to improve their high volume service, to get in touch to discuss whether the FastPour beer dispense system, or our spirit dispense system, would offer a suitable solution for their drinks dispense needs.”
